Glacier Hills Elementary School of Arts & Science (GHESAS) is an award-winning magnet school in School District 196 with high expectations, innovative programming, and a caring staff. GHESAS is a diverse community school in Eagan, Minnesota. Embedding arts and science into our instruction provides students rich learning opportunities to explore, create and wonder about the world around them. We are very proud of our school community where all are welcome!

. We provide an inclusive, positive and safe learning environment for all. We promote the appreciation of diverse cultures, backgrounds, and talents of each student. We believe that all students can learn!

GHESAS is dedicated to strong instructional programming for all students and work alongside our many community partnerships.  Our specialized teaching staff work collaboratively with classroom teachers and families to meet the diverse needs of our students. Students have access to support services including supplemental small group instruction, English Language, Gifted and Talented, Reading Recovery, and Special Education. GHESAS has a full time social worker dedicated to working with all students and staff on developing social emotional learning and assisting families with resources. 

At GHESAS, students engage in daily specialist classes weekly including physical education, cultural/traditional art, multi-media art, library, and music. We offer a strings program for students in grades 3-5 as part of our performing arts. Our science specialist works in partnership with our teachers using the design thinking process, 21st century learning skills to solve problems and learn new ideas.
