School Patrol

School-age leaders teaching other students about safety, serving as models for younger children.

Welcome to an exciting year at Glacier Hills Elementary School of Arts and Science!  Your child will have the opportunity to be a role model and leader for other students as a school patrol; this includes any 5th grader who rides the bus, walks, gets dropped off or picked up, attends daycare, or SACC.

During the first week of school, an adult patrol supervisor will discuss patrol roles and responsibilities with the students. After the introduction, interested students can apply to become a patrol member. A School Safety Patrol member should be responsible, respectful, cooperative, and helpful. They should always model PAWS expectations. School patrol members must remain in good academic standing in all subject areas and demonstrate good behavioral choices. Any discipline referrals will result in dismissal from being a patrol.

If your child is interested in being a school patrol, please contact the bus patrol supervisors, Ms. Kretchman at elise.kretchman@district196.org or Tracy Garnier at tracy.garnier@district196.org.
