School-age leaders teaching other students about safety, serving as models for younger children.
The School Safety Patrol is a group Fifth Graders that are committed to providing a safe school environment for all students at Glacier Hills Elementary. A School Safety Patrol member should be responsible, respectful, cooperative, and helpful. They should always model PAWS expectations.
Patrols are needed on buses, walking paths, in hallways, and entry ways. An adult patrol supervisor discusses patrol roles and responsibilities during the first week of school and students apply to be a patrol member after that. School patrol members must remain in good academic standing in all subject areas and model good behavioral choices. Discipline referrals will result in dismissal from being a patrol.
